#1 cone   DAL Winter Trial Information   #8 cone

Moveups and Scratches

If you have recently titled and have moved up a class, or if there are problems on your confirmation sheet, please contact the trial secretary as indicted on your confirmation email.

Same-day move ups will not be allowed; however, you may move up on Sunday. It is your responsibility to fill out a move up sheet and leave it with on the registration desk in the designated box by the end of the day on Saturday. The move up sheets will be available at the registration desk.

If you are scratching your dog from any class, please advise the scorekeeper. There is always a waiting list for entry into both days of our trials, so if you need to pull your dog before the trial, PLEASE let us know as soon as you can. We are very lenient about returning cheques - especially if someone else can make use of those runs.

Volunteers

At this trial there will be a sign up board for you to sign up for your own jobs. You may sign up for as many (or as few) jobs as you wish. You will be compensated for each volunteer job that you do with much sought after DAL bucks. There will be a separate sign up sheet for each day. Note: the earlier you sign up for your jobs, the greater the selection of jobs that there will be…

Parking

Please park in the arena parking lot and not near the private residence on site.

Concession

There will be a concession on site.

Benching

Benching will be available in box stalls along ONE side of the ring. Due to an increased number of boarders at the barn, there will not be as many stalls available as we are used to, so be prepared to be friendly and share the space fairly!

Poop & Scoop

As usual, the poop and scoop policy applies. Listen for details at the General Briefings for exact location.

AAC ID cards

All dogs must have an AAC ID card to compete in this trial. As of January 1, 2009 competitors must have their dog ID cards with them, but do not necessarily have to be checked in if (a) the card is complete (i.e., a final measurement has been obtained) and (b) the competitor has previously competed at a trial hosted by the same club. Judges and/or clubs may ask to see ID cards at their discretion. Competitors are encouraged check their confirmations to ensure that all of their information (and in particular their dog ID number) has been entered correctly.

Very Important

This is a horse facility so it is imperative that all dogs remain on leash or are crated when not in the ring. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behaviour of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behaviour may be asked to leave the show grounds and NO REFUND of fees shall be given.
